Steps Taken To Good Fortune

Clean your desk – make room for new ideas.

Clean your room – make room for new technology.

Clean your home – make room for a New You!

When you organize and throw out what is not needed anymore, you lighten up what may be holding you down.

Take items you are not using anymore and recycle them. Give them to others in need. Maybe some things can be reused as something else, especially for those who are creative.

We are now in a world that is looking to be more GREEN; take advantage of that.

Think before you buy something. Is it something that you really need or is it just going to take up more space.

Even the bags you lug around can be lightened up.

How about all those thoughts? Did those thoughts give you sleepless nights or make your days stressful. Keep lists, ideas and goals written down and it will not way too heavy on your brain.

Simplify your life. In turn, this will bring you better health and good fortune.

Nuggets of Motivational Wisdom

I went to a GET MOTIVATED seminar and here are just a few nuggets of wisdom, that inspired me out of the many speakers that took the stage.

83 year young Zig Ziglar, joked that he was too old to buy green bananas anymore. Here are a few of his words of wisdom: Embrace change as long as change meets your purpose. Everybody needs To Do, To Love, To Hope and To Believe In. Don’t go through life being a spectator. Have goals and dreams and do something at least one time. 3 Rules:
1.) Do Right
2.) Do the Best of your Ability
3.) Show people you genuinely care

Because everyone has 3 questions about you:
1.) Can I Trust You?
2.) Are you committed to Excellence?
3.) Do you Care about me?

Rudy Giuliani spoke about Leadership; how you should have a direction. What are your goals and you should be a problem solver.

Giuliani also said practice before you do. If you practice, whether you are making a speech or playing a game and if something should go wrong you will know the answer because you anticipated it and because you practiced it.

Teamwork: It’s not all about you. As a leader, you should find the people to help you out.
Communication: Teach people how to do it well. People will learn by giving them achievable goals.

Giuliani also said to Motivate though Love. Be there when things are bad, more than when things are going good.

Tamara Lowe says your past doesn’t determine your future. She believes everyone has their own motivational DNA and you need to crack that code. Once you crack the code, you’ll be able to motivate that person. Lowe, also said GET PAST YOUR PAST and Winners Take Action, Loser’s Don’t.

Dr. Robert Schuller emphasized that nothing is IMPOSSIBLE. The word impossible should not even be part of your vocabulary. He said to take the word and cut it out, because whatever your dreams are, it is POSSIBLE to achieve them. He spoke about his daughter, who went back to playing softball after losing her leg. “Never look at what you have lost, look at what you have left, if home runs is what you want”.

Why Is SEO So Important?

Search Engine Optimization, the most powerful three words on the internet. What are you doing to drive traffic to your site and do you have a site to drive traffic to?

If you are in an MLM, you most likely have website s that your company has created for you. All you need to do is plug in your photo , name and contact information. These sites are what they call replicated websites. These websites are fine for some information and for signing up new reps, members and distributors.

Now your thinking, why should I spend money on my own website , when the company is providing me one already? The problem with these sites, they are not personalized. This is where you need to have your own capture page; with your branding.

The more you ‘brand’ you, the higher the ranking you will get on those search engines, like Google, Yahoo, etc… Getting your websites in high ranking is very important on the amount of traffic you will see. Remember people join people, not companies. If you create relationships and trust, you will be regarded as a leader. Who do you want to follow? That’s right, follow the leader and in order to get people to follow you; you need to brand yourself. Branding will perk up those search engines and they will in turn, follow you. The more they follow the higher the ranking. That is how simple, it can be.

The question is how do you get those search engines to follow you? You create your own capture pages, videos, articles, blogs and audio. Along with creating these, you also want to follow and comment other people’s videos, articles, blogs and audio. Join forums and groups on social and business networking sites.

Here are some quick ways to turn your replicated websites into pages people will want to bookmark. There are programs that you can use to create a simple capture page. You can insert a video and a form for people to fill out and receive a gift, a newsletter, etc. If you want to save money you can create your own website for Free. There are several blog sites available that you can pick a theme and make it personalized to what you offer. When you purchase your own domain name, there is also a free website setup. Apple offers the program iWeb.

If you feel you have the money to spend and no time build a website yourself; hire a web designer. Many web designers will also have knowledge of adding those extra tags, keywords etc. to help with SEO.

I mentioned earlier about having an MLM, but you may not have that particular type of business. Search engine optimization works for anyone who has a website and everyone wants traffic to their site.

I haven’t even scratched the surface of SEO. A simple understanding of what you need to do; is to create multiple roads leading to your website. Search engines crawling through the internet looking for your name and all those key words that point to your site; will create those roads. That is the power of SEO.

Is It Too Good To Be True?

Just invest $300 and find two people to do the same. They find two people to invest $300 and that continues on and on. As you get pushed up the ladder, you are supposedly paid out large commission. So what are you getting? Well, they say you get a travel membership for deals. Though they are secretive until you invest your hard earned money. They say once you personally bring in X amount of people, who invest their $300, you will be given 'Free': a Car, a Villa, a Yacht or a Plane. Really? Now does this sound too good to be true? Or does this Scream SCAM!

If you would like to know the name of this company, I will be glad to reply to you privately.

Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that shows you, right up front the travel packages and all the savings? Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that has video of people actually on these trips, going all over the world? Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that you will no longer pay a membership fee after you refer four people? Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that you can also make a commission: Cruise, Hotel and Car? Wouldn’t you want the luxury of having your own travel agent at your fingertips and wouldn’t it be great to always have a concierge to help out with your travel needs. Wouldn’t a $199. investment be worth it compared to one that may or may not payout those big bucks and promise you these expensive material things, that will cost you more money in the long run, just to keep them?

You have a choice. Become a member of a legitimate travel company or….

What else is there to say, but lets take a DreamTrip, have fun and make money with WorldVentures and Rovia. http://Travel.SprungOnTheGo.Info

5 Steps Towards A Better You

Gratitude. You hear about it and may read about it; but how many people really express it? Do you get up in the morning and say out loud how grateful you are? There are many religions where you say thanks at the dinner table, prayers several times a day and go to church or synagogue. Then there are some who just wait until that one time of year: Thanksgiving.

I belong to a networking group that meets on Monday mornings called Free Networking International (FNI), where after we each do our 60 second pitch, we then go back around the room saying what we are grateful for. This is a fantastic way to start the week.

What about gratitude journals? Do you keep adding to it everyday or is it once in a while? Do you even have one? I have found the more grateful I am, the more confident I feel and that shows. It shows in attitude and physicality, plus you find yourself smiling more. I know I do. People will gravitate toward someone with a positive aura.

I personally have cut people out of my life who were negative. Everything they said was cynical. If I find myself talking with someone who just has nothing good to say, I walk away or get off the phone. The news is rarely on my TV in my home. My favorite part of the newspaper is the comics.

So what can you do to make yourself better?

1.) Get up in the morning and say out loud what you are grateful for.
2.) Before you go to sleep, say out loud what you were grateful for that day.
3.) Keep a gratitude journal.
4.) Recite any mantras you may have.
5.) Place some gratitude notes around your home, office, or with you.
6.) If someone pays you a compliment, say “Thank You”.

Here are some wonderful gratitude quotes:

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
--- John Fitzgerald Kennedy

“Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.”
--- Margaret Cousins

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
---William Arthur Ward

"Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation."
--- Brian Tracy

"If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. It will change your life mightily."
--- Gerald Good

Have a wonderful and prosperous day. Thank you for reading this.

Is It Good Or Bad To Have More Than One Business?

I come across people who either own a brick and mortar business or work for someone. I hear, “How can you make one business work if you do too many.” You have no focus. Of course my answer to this would be; I hate being bored.

Why not have more than one stream of income. Look at what happened to so many people who had their own business or worked for someone else and the company went under…. Oops no net! Then there are the natural disasters, like Katrina. Many people lost their jobs and homes, but those who were in businesses that paid a residual income; survived. Their homes may be gone, but the money still came in.

I do think jumping from business to business is not good. Pick something and stay with it. If you add another, that is great. A good way to keep your focus is to split up your day or week for one company at a time. I have six streams of income and that may sound like too much. I feel each compliment one another. Three are non-residual and three are residual. I find when my non-residuals are down, I have my residuals to keep me going. They fall under Art, Health and Travel. As long as I stay focused on one business at a time, my life runs smoothly and I never feel like it’s too much.

If you look at the top business people in the world, none of them do just one thing. Many may primarily stay in the same industry, with an exception or two. Examples would be, an actor who also writes, directs, produces, endorses products and may own a restaurant. A chef who owns restaurants, is on TV, writes books, and has a line of kitchenware. A gym owner who also markets nutritional supplements, has a video line, etc. As you can see the list can go on and on…

Many successful Network Marketers will create videos, books, e-books and seminars.

As I mentioned in my last article, set goals and follow a to-do list. Having more than one stream of income is a very good thing.

Get Motivated And Take Action. What Steps Are You Taking Toward Your Goals?

As I sit here contemplating what I’m going to write. It dawns on me that I haven’t updated my goals for a little while. I have a long list that hangs by my computer. I walk past my vision board all the time, every so often stopping to look at it, to see what needs to be added or changed. I visualize for a bit, then move onto the tasks at hand that will get me closer to those goals.

When I do work on my goals, I try to work on a few at a time, making them short term. Basically I have a daily to-do list. That is always a great start. Write down what the day plans and needs are in the morning or have it written down the night before. Lately I’ve tried to section off each set of goals for the different businesses I do. Many entrepreneurs, have several streams of income. Each of mine, are very different, though they still go hand in hand. When I go to network marketing groups, I have to decide which hat I’ll be wearing. As I build relationships, many will know I have more than one thing to offer.

Is that a good thing or bad? I’ll tackle that question in my next article.

Getting back to goals and why they are important to have. If you know what you want; wouldn’t it make sense to know how to get there? What if you were to ask a bank for a business loan and the first thing the bank would ask is; can I see your prospectus? But you tell the bank, ‘well I’m just gonna wing it as I go along’. The bank will close the door on you. How many times have you seen investors on the TV show Shark Tank, laugh at the applicants who have not done any research or marketing.

Whether you have one business or several; have a set game plan. Write down those goals. As for mine; I’ve been putting what I’ve written into action. There are times I would lie in bed and almost talk myself out of working out. But I didn’t. It may have been a short workout that day, At least I did get in the gym to spark up those brain cells.

One of my newest goals is to write at least three articles per week and if I get even more inspired that number will grow. For years, I was told this is what I needed to do. I would like to thank Larry Beacham for giving me that kick start.

A few months ago I did make a goal to Blog at least two or three times a week. Are they articles? Two or three that would fall under that heading. Many of my Blogs would be a paragraph or two with photos. I’m happy to say, I even have a few followers.

Now my goal is to get bigger and wider, reaching more people in several markets. I could write articles on each of my goals. That may keep me focused, but bore you. What are your goals?

Why Are MLM/Network Marketers So Deceptive About Their Meetings, When Asking Someone To Come?

It’s like a secret; as if the marketer is a spider looking to trap the fly into their web. This is why so many, end up standing by the door in search of the people they have invited and never show.

I have been there and like so many others, we immediately start calling, leaving messages and never hearing from these people again. If you do get them on the phone, all you get are excuses to why they can’t make the meeting or why they missed it and promised they’ll come next time. Next time never happens either. Most of the time, this is because you were being secretive about your company.

STOP! If you are ashamed of what you have to offer, than you should get out. You should be passionate about what you have to offer. That is what people want to see. Most of the time it’s not what you have, but it’s why you are part of this company.

I’ve been to some meetings where, I thought the product was just OK, but the people cared about what they are offering. I’ve also been to meetings where, the product looked Great and because I thought the people where only looking to build their down-line, I was turned off.

It has been said over and over, people join people. Build relationships and be passionate about what you do.

Top 3 Ways To Make A Change In What You Are Doing And How You Need To Do It.

If you find that what you are doing is not getting results. CHANGE, what you are doing. But your up-line said; you need to do these steps to get to the TOP. You may find that those steps worked for about a week. Then you are already frustrated, because your doing everything you were told to do and you are not getting the same results your up-line is getting. I’ll say it again, CHANGE, what you are doing.

There are so many ways to work your business. If you are getting results by doing the structured steps so many MLM’s have set for you to follow; great. But if you feel that, cold calling, knocking on doors, dropping sizzle cards, sending out postcards, etc. is failing, then move on to the computer.

You hear and see this everywhere; BRANDING. Now when I first read this, I always thought it needed to be a business. The business would have a logo designed and then put out in signage and print for everyone to see and eventually recognize,

But when you are in an MLM, you cannot use the logo your company has because, it’s theirs and you are only allowed to use the logo with permission and on certain things. So your business is not BRANDED. You Need To Brand You.

BRANDING YOURSELF is how you are going to get recognized. This is where the CHANGE comes. Start to put yourself out where everyone can see your face or if you are a bit shy, they should then recognize your name.

The 3 Top ways to get YOU out there are.

1. Social Networks
2. Business Networks
3. Video Networks.

Take advantage of all of them. They all will take some work, but I find it’s a lot more fun doing all of them

How To Move Past Those Negative Words And Into Action!

Everyone goes through the; I should have and of course that is the worst thing you could do, is ‘should on yourself’. It’s already in the past, so leave it there. The present is what’s most important. You want to make goals for the future, and having short term goals are the best. You’ll want to have one big goal that is off to the future, with many short ones to get you to there. With short goals, they are easy to follow, taking each step, by step, by step. Plus, make sure you are having fun with each step. It would be silly not too. You need to enjoy life. We all hit these small bumps along the way, so look at it as if you are on a kid’s rollercoaster; those bumps are small enough to work through.

I know as I write this, someone else out there has put down similar words. Even though you have heard these words before, it needs repeating…. DO NOT QUIT! No matter what MLM you are in…DO NOT QUIT! Maybe you just got into one, or have been in one for awhile and you are tired of your down-line quitting…. Once again… DO NOT QUIT!

You know the saying Quitters Never Win and Winners Never Quit. That is so true. I’ve heard so many stories of what happens when someone quits. If there was a down-line they moved up and now that new up-line is reaping the rewards and the one who quit is still looking for their get rich quick company.

No one in an MLM should ever think that the company they are in; is get rich quick. Some people built their company up faster than others, but it still took lots of work.. I recently was talking with someone who was looking for a way to build their company with a push of a button. Just put the info in on automate and watch it grow. Some people would say, yeah there is a way to do that…. Not really. You still need to build those relationships. And Yes it takes Work and Time!

So to repeat myself once again, please take action and… DO NOT QUIT

Dollars Increase With Affiliate Marketing

(Dollars Increase With Affiliate Marketing)

Copyright © Bonnie Sprung

http://www.newrichreport.com/bsprung/

I have been working the internet to get a cash flow. At first it was a slow start, since this is a whole new world for me. I jumped into one and before I knew it, it grew like wild fire. I added another site and another. And what I was adding were more affiliates. With each one, you get a commission when someone clicks your link and joins or purchases some product.

Now this is nothing new, it’s been around for years, but it was new to me. The fun thing about this; is every time I logged into an affiliate site to check my earnings and downline; I found that many would grow. Some sites like the ACME People Search site has a downline of people from all over the world. Very Cool.

So if this is something that you thought of doing, but scared you somewhat. Don’t be; it can be a bit overwhelming at first. Then you start to figure out what works and what doesn’t and soon check s will be in your mailbox.

And if you surfed the web and saw these ads that are rich with color, video and bold headlines , saying that you can be making money right now… many are very true. You just need to know which ones are the best.

I will tell you, to do as much FREE as possible. Some programs have a few days Free Trial, some may ask for $1 and 30 days Free… go ahead and check them out. If you find it is working for you then continue. But with caution, you don’t need to spend big bucks. Just spend the minimum that you can afford to do. Then when you start making money, put those dollars back into the program in the right upgrades.

As you can see on my blog I have several banners and links, all of which I do get a commission for. Feel free to click on any. If you have an MLM that you market, I recommend you go over to the MLSP banner and click on it. Not only is this great to help build leads for your primary MLM business, it markets several affiliates that you get commissions on. It’s a win-win situation.

Surf and Earn

As everyone knows there are many, many different ways to advertise. The same goes with what your budget allows you to do. I decided to utilize the traffic exchange programs, by surfing and earning credits. You may ask, what the heck is that. My first experience with it was years ago and because I really didn't understand what I was doing at the time, I dropped it. But, now I'm back and there are many to choose from. You can surf and earn a few credits for every page you look at and others will give you a lot of credits. As you read this, your still confused. Ah, but it really isn't confusing, it's just time consuming. That is if you are on that limited budget and you still want to get your website seen, then you will be surfing or opening e-mails sent to you by members of whatever company you signed up with.

Most every affiliate program out there can be used for FREE. So if you are on a budget, this is great for you to get you website seen. Now the reason I am doing it the FREE way is to find out which one works best for me. Evey company has a different way for you to advertise. Some will only let you list a web link, some will allow you to put a description and some will allow you to create a full ad campaign.

So what if you don't want to sit there and click and look and click and look and so on and so on.
You can spend a few dollars. Once again there are several cost levels, depending on the company and what they offer and how many members they have, etc.. these are many variable to consider. Which brings me back to doing it for FREE first.

I've only been doing this for a very short time and have surfed five different ones and have found two of them to be working for me the best, so far. One of the ways I keep track of how many clicks my website has gotten is a program called ViralURL. I love this program, because it has several tools to use, but the one I use the most is it's Cloaking tool. And when you cloak your URL, it also tracks it. The reason for cloaking, is it takes your looong URL and shortens it. Making it easier to use and keeps others from stealing your affiliate ID and your commissions.

So have fun and start surfing.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

What is Affiliate Marketing? Well that was the question I asked after I clicked on a link I found on Twitter. Now this is still very new to me and I am constantly asking questions and following what my sponsor’s are doing. But after a few days, I have made some money and all I did was sign up to have others click on links. So if you ever wondered about the ads found on the internet and who’s making money; well, that is affiliate marketing. You can have the option to get paid to advertise someone else’s product or service. To find out more on how you too, can get paid per click, just follow this link. http://bit.ly/x2CUN

Build Income Online

As I was tweeting, checking other tweets and new followers, I came across an interesting link. What caught my eye was… $125 Guaranteed in 24 Hours! Following 3 easy steps. This was FREE for 7 days. So I figured why not. If I make money, great and if I find it didn’t work for me, I can cancel before the 7 days and I don’t loose any money. So what is the catch? The cost is $10 per month, for the domain you need to sign up for. But the person who is doing a lot of the work for you at the beginning is Tissa Godavitarne and he teaches you how to create your OWN Income-Generating Niche Search Engine, which he advertises for FREE. The Power of Linked In

There are many networking sites out on the web. Many for all different reasons, you have your social networks like MySpace and Facebook. There are Art sites like Etsy and there are your business sites, like Linked In.

Some of these sites are good for connecting with friends and letting everyone know what you are doing with your life. Most people know exactly what to do when you get on. Then you have something like Twitter. A site that, some people have never heard of, or don’t know what to do with when they are on. That’s the same with Linked In. Many people who have a business, create there profile, invite a few people and then stall. What do they do next is the question. I can confess that myself, when I first signed up. I followed all the steps to creating that profile to asking for some recommendations. Then, it sat there for a long time. After some time, I poked around and looked to see what others were doing and followed along.

During the week, I go to many different networking groups to pitch my business and build relationships. One group I attend is STAR Networking (Sharing Tips and Resources). The director of that group is Michelle Dettlaff and she created a Linked In Group. Another reason to join Linked In.

Going back to Twitter for a second. As I twittered, I’m also checking out some of the links that look of interest to me. I found a fantastic one, that linked me to a post that was chock full of great ideas to help build relationships and in turn build business. Alan Underkofler, twittered that link to his blog. www.followupsuccess.com and I in turn started a new discussion on the STAR Linked In board. Because one of the tips mentioned a way to contact people and ask for a meeting, to find out about each others business.

Allan’s post also led me to adding him to my friends on Facebook and connecting to him on Linked In. After I did that, he contacted me, by e-mail. Ask me the question he has on his post and we had a fantastic and very helpful conversation that same night. Not only have we connected though Twitter, FaceBook and Linked In, we now have made a more solid connection by talking on the phone. I’m in Florida and he’s in California. And that is the power of Linked In. If you use these tools that are FREE to everyone, it is a goldmine.

And you are welcome to connect with me.

In my spare time and that tends to be very little. I love to do surveys online, for extra cash. It’s not a lot, but it comes in handy every so often. Most recently I was introduced to CashCrate. The surveys are short easy and pays. If you do a several survey s in a few minutes, that extra cash can add up.

When I first checked out the site, I did get a bit overwhelmed at what survey's to do. When I did get started, I also got frustrated on how this works, because I couldn’t seem to get passed earning a whopping $1.75. I finally, decided to check out the forums and I also Googled some tips on what to do and what not to do.

One of the best tips I came across was to make sure you have a g-mail account for all the e-mails you will receive from the surveys. Make sure this account is just for the survey feedback and not your personal e-mail. Because you will get flooded with mail. And when you start doing the survey's, go to your g-mail account to confirm that survey, or you won’t get paid on it. So, every so often you need to dump the SPAM. To make room for the e-mails you want to get.

But remember, if you are looking for some residual income, come join my team. Or, if you have a business you want to help build, do it with some incentives.

Symposium (Part 4)

I got to meet a true enviromentalist and philanthropist, Ed Mercer (Mr. Costa Rica). This is a true rags to riches man. Originally from Canada, Ed was born to a mother at the age of fifteen and he began to work fifteen. Became a self-made millionaire by the age of twenty-seven. He has traveled the globe and settled in Costa Rica at the age of twenty-one. His goal was to make whatever or whoever better when he left it. He uses money as a measuring stick. “In order to have more you must become more”, said Ed.
He goes to Denny’s and buys two breakfasts, one for himself and one for someone else and finds out about that person. He came from having nothing and works with those who also have nothing. He only has a public school education and ended up on the streets at fifteen. He got into a MLM program and became number one in sixty days. His strategy was the 3ft rule. Talking to people everyday and had meetings every night, with training on Saturday’s.

Ed started seminars on personal growth and personal development, because he couldn’t tell people how to become a millionaire. Everything he owns he will leave to his employees. He considers everyone who works for him is FAMILY. This is what is important to him.

Ed’s overnight success, took him 30 years. He constantly listens to motivational tapes. Ed says “Knowledge is Your Next Currency” and he said that 2009 will be his best year ever.

Forget about the negativity. Stinkin Thinkin.

“To Have More Is To Become More”

Ed is buying 1000 foreclosure homes and will put those people back in their homes, for less than half.

In-between Ed’s inspiration, the entertainer emerged with funny one-liners. Comedy is something he could have pursued.

Dr. Jeff Magee concluded the symposium with LEADERSHIP! How do you get IT, Keep IT and Grow IT!
Six parts to SUCCESS.

1. Attitude
2. Player Capability Index
3. USF x2x4 ( Unique, Selling, Feature- What do you have to offer)

4. MAP – Mission Statement x 5

2. Department, Team work unit.
3. Co-Workers / Employees
a. Customer You Serve
b. You- (what is your mission statement)

5. Communication

C = (T2+A+P+E+C)E2=R

C = Capability
T2 = Training (Education/Future)

P = Performance (If you want to P better , buy the book)
E = Experience
C = Culture ( 1. Your Expectations, 2. Them – What Customers Expectation, 3. Personal Representation)

MICRO MANGAGMENT

Stay focused on Micro Management.
All you need to get moving forward is a mentor.

Symposium (Part 3)

What is a great way to create great energy and get the blood flowing? DANCE. Alberto and Selena Hoyos brings to the symposium, Self Discovery through Dance. Albert was going to be a doctor and then ended up teaching dance lesions. People asked why he’s so successful. Passion to serenade others, loves music and dance. He met his wife and partner on the dance floor and together they teach relationship through dance. A form of body language. It’s the Power of Two. They have a one minute film called “One Last Tango.”

Great testimony to their work is when couples have soared in whatever they do. Then everyone in the room was asked to get up and move their bods. Hips moving to the Latin beat. Moving – moves the feel good hormones in your body. “If you do what you love for a living, you never worked a day in your life.” Everyone is looking for answers, but the answers are always in your Heart. When we hug it’s heart to heart. Body’s energy we give and take when we hug.
You want to give good energy and you can do that over the phone.
You dance with your clients, when you get into the rhythm with them. You can speak without speaking and it’s your actions that can speak louder than words.

Some key points to their philosophies of success for business and life are.
1. Dancing Inside Out. – Start with what’s inside you and express that through movement. Three professions that help you to live the longest is Dance, Ta Chi and Conductors of Orchestras. (Movement, Music and Breathing).

2. Dance As If No Ones Watching.
3. Dance the Dance That You’ve Been Shown Until You Can Dance Alone.

The only one you should compete against is yourself. Move in the direction of what your passion is and if you don’t then you deprive others to see what you have to offer. When you die, your dreams die with you. So find that passion and all of what you attract will come to be.
Alberto and Selena Hoyos inspire couples, that is their focus.

Symposium (Part 2)

Allen Meyer introduced the Colonel (Ret.) Danny McKnight with tears in his eyes as he reflected back about his family being in work camps during the war and how he can relate. Allen said that is why Freedom is so important.

Colonel (Ret.) Danny McKnight commented on how Allen expressed passion and that is what you should have is passion for what you do. He was glad there was no podium, because a podium means a target and he rather not be one. He’s a believer in total fitness. Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Fitness. He was born in Georgia and grew up in Brevard, FL. Went into the military, even though his family is not military. He calls them regular parents. For twenty eight and half years he served our country in the U.S. Army and he is blessed and had the greatest opportunity to do so. The Colonel retired on Jan. 1, 2002 and got to do some special projects for the FBI, then returned to Brevard in July 2002. He then had to go out and get a JOB, because the army is a profession and not a JOB. He first got a job as the first in the Homeland Project.

He doesn’t believe in politics; he says he is politically incorrect and believes in being honest with people. He wanted his new job to make changes in the security and they did not want to change, so he left. This led him to getting a job at Brevard Community College, teaching homeland security. That was till 2005. In 2006 to present he has been going around the country speaking and writing a book. His DVD, "Leading on the Tough Days," is available for purchase. The book is still being written.

The Colonial said “You do not manage people. You need to lead people and you lead by example”. He lives by this word (LDRSHIP) and what each letter stands for.
Loyalty
Duty
Respect
Selfless service
Honor
Integrity
Personal courage

This is the seven values they use in the Army and he said this should be a way of life.

Integrity - as a leader should be the non-negotiable way of life. It makes us who we are. Everyone sometimes in their life gets challenged to their integrity. And he said he never compromised his integrity and he is proud of that. The willingness of the leader, is to make the hardest decision. Whether people think this is right or wrong.

“Born To Be A Leader” – He believes everyone is, but they need to take the steps to do so.

Respect is very important. There are three kinds. 1. Respect to the leader, 2. Mutual respect to your peers and 3. Respect you and I as leaders.

The Colonel said DO IT, NOT JUST SAY IT. Responsibility and Accountability. Don’t blame anyone else, unless you start with yourself.
He ended with – Make good decisions.

Dr. Jeff Magee took the stage again with Tools To Use. How to speed read the mindset of the person or business. This is just a small aspect to his Performance Execution Seminar. He looks at everyone’s forehead as if it is a TV screen. How do we condition someone to create change. He says there are 3 steps.
1. Persistant on New Behavior
2. Consistant on the New Behavior
3. Patience – this is the most

One way to create change is to put maps in the right place as triggers. Examples to put a photo of something you want to have to do in a place you see it every day.
Also change the people you hang out with. Birds of a feather flock together.

Dr. Magee was planning on handing out; upon request Wallet Reference Cards - Seminar participants get this handy wallet quide for quick reference.
Unfortunately, that day his cards were left in his suitcase. He requested an e-mail if anyone wanted one sent to them. I’m still waiting on mine.

One of the references on this card is E Force vs. C Force. Entrepenure vs. Control and any decision made, ask yourself what needs to be made E or C.

Then it was time for Lunch.

Symposium (Part 1)

I attended this fantastic symposium “Taking Control in Hard Times” hosted by Allan Meyer if
Orlando Performance Magazine, held at the Citrus Club on January 16, 2009.

The day started off with a breakfast, followed by
Dr. Jeff Magee; a best selling author and corporate trainer Jeff's Credentials include a PhD: Organizational Psychology, PDM: Professional in Direct Marketing, CSP: Certified Speaking Professional and CMC: Certified Management Consultant. Dr. Magee talked about tracking certain words in your website. When you use words like Better, you need to be able to back it up. When Different is used, what makes it different? The word Faster used quite a bit with the internet, meaning is it efficient and lastly the words Cost Effective. Make sure that they get a bigger bang for the buck. These words should be used throughout your website.

The symposium continued with Teri Yanovitch, a speaker, consultant, and trainer with expertise in the areas of creating a culture of exceptional service, leadership development, continuous process improvement, and employee engagement. She spoke on service philosophy. Does’ your office, appearance and what you say; convey efficiency and details. It’s all in how you look and feel and what you say to your customers or potential customers that make a difference in whether they consider do to business with you. To recession proof your business, you need to create loyal customers. How to do that is:
1. Look through the lens of the customer
2. Recognize that everything speaks in your physical environment
3. Created a WOW by exceeding customer expectations in your delivery
4. Make it easy to do business with you and your process.

Teri talks about how your company should have a Service Philosophy, that is short and simple. You should be efficient and not cluttered. More information by Teri can be found on her website and in her book Unleashing Excellence – The Complete Guide to Ultimate Customer Service.

Then it was back to Jeff Magee, who spoke on your own self worth. “How Do You Think” It’s up to you as individuals on the choices you make. He states the real America is going to be ‘Nobility’. The standard of life needs to move up and forward to that pursuit of happiness.

Author; Frank Cavalli is the founder of Star Dome Publishing, LLC. His latest book is "Before the Beginning Began". Frank spoke about growing up in New York and how he was looking for a new life; not just a resolution. He developed a teen program “The Great Choices” Your 12 commandments of life. He lives his life, like he’s going into a business meeting and uses the KISS formula (Keep It Short & Simple).

He asks; “What is your definition of life?’ Life is nothing more than time and what we do with it. We are the master and commander. He quoted some of Bob Proctor.

I asked Frank if he would e-mail me his list of Quotes to Ponder.
Here they are:

Habits: 30 days can make one or break one.
If a man would put his purse in his head no one can take it from him.
Your income will be determined by the demand for what you; do your ability to do it and the degree of difficulty of replace you.
Work as though you would live forever but live this day as though it were your last.

Depression cannot be in the same room with gratitude, humor and hope.

If you want to feel empowered give If you want better answers you must ask the hard questions. Don't seek fame but be deserving of esteem and honor.
One can learn as much from his enemies as he can from a Buddha.
Paper has never refused ink.
If all men were friends there would be no reason for law.
We can't go back and make a brand-new beginning but we can start from now and make a brand-new end.

There is no greater burden than the awareness of our unfilled potential.

The difference between the least learned among us and the most learned among us is infinitesimally insignificant compared to what is unknown by both.
Don't waste your life trying to find yourself, make yourself.

The meaning of life is to give life meaning.

The loving is easy it's the living that's hard A book never forgets what it says and is always available to repeat itself.
There is a big difference between destructive discontent and constructive discontent.
Character is who you are when no one is watching.
If you're not big enough to lose you're not big enough to win If you can't create beauty, preserve it don't destroy it Equal to the creation of something is the appreciation of it.

This is the first of four posts to this symposium in review.

Today is Great Day.

My tag line is; You Get A Gift. And our nation just got a great Gift. A new President. President Obama states, that we need to get together to build our nation back to prosperity. To make this great nation more profitable, we need to find ways to make that happen.

I do a lot of networking and maybe I know someone or something that could help your business grow. Please let me know how I can help. Like any other business person, one always likes to increase their sales. I wouldn’t lie and say no thank you to more; myself. But, one of my goals for 2009 is to help others. So, if it’s referrals, incentives or just my thoughts; I would like to help out.

As what everyone is saying and thinking, that this is a new beginning for everyone. You maybe reading this and saying to yourself – My company is growing and I don’t need anything. I would say, every person, company, small business, etc. can always use that burst of energy.

I recently went to this fabulous symposium “Taking Control in Hard Times” put on by Orlando Performance Magazine. Over the next few days, I will be posting more information on the many speakers that were there. During that day, one of the many things said was, if you are in an elevator, and asked what do you do? You should be able to say that in a few words.

Just this week, I have finally found the right words to consolidate three of my businesses into a perfect 30 seconds. Now, I know that many of the details are left out. But it does give people the opportunity to ask; can we get together to talk more.

I Love To Network

Over the past four year’s, I’ve been going to network groups. There were two I attended often. Over time I checked out others and lately I have been attending four to five on a regular basis. One of my decisions this New Years was to add a few more groups to the mix. I say decision, because people break resolutions and rarely will break a decision.

Why go to networking meetings. Why not; they are a great way to meet new people and build relationships. When you build relationships and they may not need your services, but you may know others that do and in turn you too will get lots of referrals. When you give, your company will then grow too.

What types of Networking groups I attend. Mostly FREE. And there are some that have dues, but can attend a couple of times before joining. I feel the free groups are just as good, if not better. One of my favorite groups is Free International Networking. This group has a structure, the normal 30 second business intro, a gratitude section and a valuable brainstorming/consulting segment that will help grow your business.

If you have never been to a networking group you can find them on-line. One of the best places to look, is MeetUp.com. FNI is all over, so I'm sure you can find one that is in your home town. I live in the Orlando area, and another great source is Orlando Connections.

Now if you do live in the Central FL area or if you would like to visit, there is a fantastic symposium coming up on January 16th with Performance Magazine and National Publisher Jeffrey Magee. Registration is on line at www.orlandoperformancemagazine.com for Experience Symposium "Taking Control in Hard Times" listed under breaking news at the top of the page. Ed Mercer Billionaire, Teri Yanovitch and Colonel (Ret.) Danny McKnight are just a few that will be speaking.

If you are looking for business in whatever you do, I suggest you find some networking groups to attend.
