Why Is SEO So Important?

Search Engine Optimization, the most powerful three words on the internet. What are you doing to drive traffic to your site and do you have a site to drive traffic to?

If you are in an MLM, you most likely have website s that your company has created for you. All you need to do is plug in your photo , name and contact information. These sites are what they call replicated websites. These websites are fine for some information and for signing up new reps, members and distributors.

Now your thinking, why should I spend money on my own website , when the company is providing me one already? The problem with these sites, they are not personalized. This is where you need to have your own capture page; with your branding.

The more you ‘brand’ you, the higher the ranking you will get on those search engines, like Google, Yahoo, etc… Getting your websites in high ranking is very important on the amount of traffic you will see. Remember people join people, not companies. If you create relationships and trust, you will be regarded as a leader. Who do you want to follow? That’s right, follow the leader and in order to get people to follow you; you need to brand yourself. Branding will perk up those search engines and they will in turn, follow you. The more they follow the higher the ranking. That is how simple, it can be.

The question is how do you get those search engines to follow you? You create your own capture pages, videos, articles, blogs and audio. Along with creating these, you also want to follow and comment other people’s videos, articles, blogs and audio. Join forums and groups on social and business networking sites.

Here are some quick ways to turn your replicated websites into pages people will want to bookmark. There are programs that you can use to create a simple capture page. You can insert a video and a form for people to fill out and receive a gift, a newsletter, etc. If you want to save money you can create your own website for Free. There are several blog sites available that you can pick a theme and make it personalized to what you offer. When you purchase your own domain name, there is also a free website setup. Apple offers the program iWeb.

If you feel you have the money to spend and no time build a website yourself; hire a web designer. Many web designers will also have knowledge of adding those extra tags, keywords etc. to help with SEO.

I mentioned earlier about having an MLM, but you may not have that particular type of business. Search engine optimization works for anyone who has a website and everyone wants traffic to their site.

I haven’t even scratched the surface of SEO. A simple understanding of what you need to do; is to create multiple roads leading to your website. Search engines crawling through the internet looking for your name and all those key words that point to your site; will create those roads. That is the power of SEO.

Is It Too Good To Be True?

Just invest $300 and find two people to do the same. They find two people to invest $300 and that continues on and on. As you get pushed up the ladder, you are supposedly paid out large commission. So what are you getting? Well, they say you get a travel membership for deals. Though they are secretive until you invest your hard earned money. They say once you personally bring in X amount of people, who invest their $300, you will be given 'Free': a Car, a Villa, a Yacht or a Plane. Really? Now does this sound too good to be true? Or does this Scream SCAM!

If you would like to know the name of this company, I will be glad to reply to you privately.

Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that shows you, right up front the travel packages and all the savings? Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that has video of people actually on these trips, going all over the world? Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that you will no longer pay a membership fee after you refer four people? Wouldn’t you want to be a member of a travel company that you can also make a commission: Cruise, Hotel and Car? Wouldn’t you want the luxury of having your own travel agent at your fingertips and wouldn’t it be great to always have a concierge to help out with your travel needs. Wouldn’t a $199. investment be worth it compared to one that may or may not payout those big bucks and promise you these expensive material things, that will cost you more money in the long run, just to keep them?

You have a choice. Become a member of a legitimate travel company or….

5 Steps Towards A Better You

Gratitude. You hear about it and may read about it; but how many people really express it? Do you get up in the morning and say out loud how grateful you are? There are many religions where you say thanks at the dinner table, prayers several times a day and go to church or synagogue. Then there are some who just wait until that one time of year: Thanksgiving.

I belong to a networking group that meets on Monday mornings called Free Networking International (FNI), where after we each do our 60 second pitch, we then go back around the room saying what we are grateful for. This is a fantastic way to start the week.

What about gratitude journals? Do you keep adding to it everyday or is it once in a while? Do you even have one? I have found the more grateful I am, the more confident I feel and that shows. It shows in attitude and physicality, plus you find yourself smiling more. I know I do. People will gravitate toward someone with a positive aura.

I personally have cut people out of my life who were negative. Everything they said was cynical. If I find myself talking with someone who just has nothing good to say, I walk away or get off the phone. The news is rarely on my TV in my home. My favorite part of the newspaper is the comics.

So what can you do to make yourself better?

1.) Get up in the morning and say out loud what you are grateful for.
2.) Before you go to sleep, say out loud what you were grateful for that day.
3.) Keep a gratitude journal.
4.) Recite any mantras you may have.
5.) Place some gratitude notes around your home, office, or with you.
6.) If someone pays you a compliment, say “Thank You”.

Here are some wonderful gratitude quotes:

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
--- John Fitzgerald Kennedy

“Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.”
--- Margaret Cousins

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
---William Arthur Ward

"Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation."
--- Brian Tracy

"If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. It will change your life mightily."
--- Gerald Good

Have a wonderful and prosperous day. Thank you for reading this.

Is It Good Or Bad To Have More Than One Business?

I come across people who either own a brick and mortar business or work for someone. I hear, “How can you make one business work if you do too many.” You have no focus. Of course my answer to this would be; I hate being bored.

Why not have more than one stream of income. Look at what happened to so many people who had their own business or worked for someone else and the company went under…. Oops no net! Then there are the natural disasters, like Katrina. Many people lost their jobs and homes, but those who were in businesses that paid a residual income; survived. Their homes may be gone, but the money still came in.

I do think jumping from business to business is not good. Pick something and stay with it. If you add another, that is great. A good way to keep your focus is to split up your day or week for one company at a time. I have six streams of income and that may sound like too much. I feel each compliment one another. Three are non-residual and three are residual. I find when my non-residuals are down, I have my residuals to keep me going. They fall under Art, Health and Travel. As long as I stay focused on one business at a time, my life runs smoothly and I never feel like it’s too much.

If you look at the top business people in the world, none of them do just one thing. Many may primarily stay in the same industry, with an exception or two. Examples would be, an actor who also writes, directs, produces, endorses products and may own a restaurant. A chef who owns restaurants, is on TV, writes books, and has a line of kitchenware. A gym owner who also markets nutritional supplements, has a video line, etc. As you can see the list can go on and on…

Many successful Network Marketers will create videos, books, e-books and seminars.

As I mentioned in my last article, set goals and follow a to-do list. Having more than one stream of income is a very good thing.

Get Motivated And Take Action. What Steps Are You Taking Toward Your Goals?

As I sit here contemplating what I’m going to write. It dawns on me that I haven’t updated my goals for a little while. I have a long list that hangs by my computer. I walk past my vision board all the time, every so often stopping to look at it, to see what needs to be added or changed. I visualize for a bit, then move onto the tasks at hand that will get me closer to those goals.

When I do work on my goals, I try to work on a few at a time, making them short term. Basically I have a daily to-do list. That is always a great start. Write down what the day plans and needs are in the morning or have it written down the night before. Lately I’ve tried to section off each set of goals for the different businesses I do. Many entrepreneurs, have several streams of income. Each of mine, are very different, though they still go hand in hand. When I go to network marketing groups, I have to decide which hat I’ll be wearing. As I build relationships, many will know I have more than one thing to offer.

Is that a good thing or bad? I’ll tackle that question in my next article.

Getting back to goals and why they are important to have. If you know what you want; wouldn’t it make sense to know how to get there? What if you were to ask a bank for a business loan and the first thing the bank would ask is; can I see your prospectus? But you tell the bank, ‘well I’m just gonna wing it as I go along’. The bank will close the door on you. How many times have you seen investors on the TV show Shark Tank, laugh at the applicants who have not done any research or marketing.

Whether you have one business or several; have a set game plan. Write down those goals. As for mine; I’ve been putting what I’ve written into action. There are times I would lie in bed and almost talk myself out of working out. But I didn’t. It may have been a short workout that day, At least I did get in the gym to spark up those brain cells.

One of my newest goals is to write at least three articles per week and if I get even more inspired that number will grow. For years, I was told this is what I needed to do. I would like to thank Larry Beacham for giving me that kick start.

A few months ago I did make a goal to Blog at least two or three times a week. Are they articles? Two or three that would fall under that heading. Many of my Blogs would be a paragraph or two with photos. I’m happy to say, I even have a few followers.

Now my goal is to get bigger and wider, reaching more people in several markets. I could write articles on each of my goals. That may keep me focused, but bore you. What are your goals?
